Aim – to produce lesson plans that are;

Possible activities
- Locate the Victorian street and houses in the modern school playground
- Comparison of past and present - what if street still existed and how would it be different?
- What was here before the streets and houses?
- Research favourite tree (additional link)
- Write/ tell a tree’s life story (from tree’s perspective)
- Persuasive writing/speech to protect the school's trees
- Draw what you think the original houses looked like based on clues from the surrounding buildings
- Timetravel story
Identify differences, describe differences, older years explain differences.
Tell the story or design the story as a class
KS2 design story for KS1 to illustrate
- Recreate a miniture grotto. What materials would you use for decoration
- Gardeners question time. Ask questions about Goldney Gardens for other class members to research and answer
- The purpose of gardens. Comparison between past and present, rich and poor
- Investigate the Goldney family's links with the slave trade
- Investigate the story of Alexander Selkirk (the real Robinson Crusoe)
- Explore theme of being marooned - poetry, story writing, monologue, play Desert Island Discs
