Stokes Croft, 1951. Notice the areas marked 'ruins'. These were buildings destroyed by wartime bombing. Some of these sites remained undeveloped until the 1960s. Click the red dots for more information.

Myers-Insole Local Learning (MILLCIC) is currently managing a three year Stokes Croft Local Learning project for Bristol City Council.

Over the course of the project MILLCIC will be working with local schools and colleges to create material for an annual Stokes Croft Heritage Trail.

In 2009 the theme for the trail was Victorian Stokes Croft. You can view this material here.

This year the theme is wartime Stokes Croft and the Heritage Trail will be held on Saturday June 12th.

You can click the links on the map, including the red dots, to find the activities and information created by local schools, colleges and community groups.

We have now added a page for the films that have been made from interviews with members of the Deaf Community. Click here for more information.
