T. and J. Perry & Co. Carriageworks

  • The carriage works was established in 1844, though the original building was damaged by fire.


  • The existing building is a three-storey showroom built in 1859 and constructed of Pennant sandstone.


  • The site was sold to Anderson's Rubber Company in 1912 and remained in its ownership until 1960.


  • The building became vacant in 1979 and remained unused for thirty years.


  • The showroom has a Grade II* listing
