During 2008 and 2009, the project theme was Victorian Stokes Croft.

The focus for classroom workshops and the end of year heritage trail was a story taken from a local newspaper article about a young grocer who allegedly stole a small sum of money from a shop on Stokes Croft. The article dated to 1875 and centred on Fredrick Tucker's grocery store at no.100 Stokes Croft.

MILL created a radio play about the event and children made their own radio dramas.

2009 also coincided with the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the Centre for the Deaf on King Square. MILL interviewed people at the Centre about their memories of the area. These interviews were filmed by VS1 Productions.
