BAC in Time
How come Billy got evacuated to Buckingham Palace?
Why is Rose Meadows so against the Football Pools?
Will Bob get caught smuggling spare parts out of the BAC?
Who was wolf whistling the Lady Mayoress on her tour of the factory?
Meadows to Meaders 6: BAC in Time keeps the tradition alive of telling true stories of people who have lived, worked, and grown up in Filton, Patchway and Southmead that are then woven into a theatre show and performed live by local residents.
Our next performance, Meadows to Meaders 6, BAC in Time was directed again by Craig Edwards and made possible with Stronger Together funding from South Gloucestershire County Council and ongoing and much appreciated support from Southmead Development Trust and Aerospace Bristol. The show performed beneath Concorde at Aerospace Bristol focused on local stories from 1940s wartime to 1970s around the BAC, the Brabazon and the lost village of Charlton as well as memories of Concorde’s early flights.
Our amazing cast performed to a sold out audience together with a special appearance by Travelling Kitchen.
A theatre programme was available at the event and can be downloaded here.

Meadows to Meaders 5, Fab Living on the Mead was performed in Southmead, focusing on the 81 post World War II prefabs secreted in Badocks Wood where now only a handful of photos remain. Having built the prefabs, the BAC is at the heart of this story, but we knew that there was more to tell.
